Lord, have mercy upon us.

Christ have mercy upon us.

Lord, have mercy upon us.

O Christ hear us.

O Christ graciously hear us.

God, the Father of Heaven, have mercy upon us.

God, the Son, crucified for us,  have mercy upon us.

God the Holy Ghost, the Comforter, have mercy upon us.

Holy Trinity, One God, have mercy upon us.

Holy Mary,  pray for us.

Holy Mother of God, pray for us.

Mother, most sorrowful, pray for us.

Mother, most tearful, pray for us.

Mother, afflicted, pray for us.

 Mother, forsaken, pray for us.

Mother, bereft of thy Child, pray for us.

Mother, whose soul was pierced by the sword,
pray for us.

Mother, consumed by grief, pray for us.

Mother, standing by the Tomb as it was closed,

pray for us.

Mirror of patience, pray for us.

Rock of Constancy, pray for us.

Anchor of confidence, pray for us.

Refuge of the forsaken, pray for us.

Shield of the oppressed, pray for us.

Solace of the afflicted, pray for us.

Harbor of the shipwrecked, pray for us.

Treasure of the faithful, pray for us.

Theme of the prophets, pray for us.

Staff of the apostles, pray for us.

Queen of the martyrs, pray for us.

Light of confessors, pray for us.

Consolation of the widowed, pray for us.

Joy of all the saints, pray for us.

Jesus, Lamb of God,  have mercy upon us.

Jesus, bearer of our sins,  have mercy upon us.

Jesus, redeemer of the world,  grant us peace.

Grant us, Lord, strength and patience like Mary who stood by your Cross, and as we receive with thanksgiving the salvation won by your death, make us ready, as it is in our power, to ease the sufferings of your sisters and brothers, for the sake of your love. Amen.
